IMPORTANT INFORMATION

UofL ConcernCenter

ConcernCenter is a directory designed to help you find campus resources based on various questions or concerns. Select the category associated with your concern, search for your concern, or check the alphabetical listing of concerns or resources.  louisville.concerncenter.com

Student complaints

Students are encouraged to resolve complaints with the person or department with whom they have a dispute. However, should this approach fail or be inappropriate, students may submit written complaints through the online complaint form. Once received, complaints will be forwarded to the appropriate academic area or administrative unit for review. If you have questions regarding the process, please contact Samantha MacKenzie, Student Advocate at (502) 852-5787. www.santafedesignstudio.com/dos/help/student-complaint-procedure

JED Campus Survey—We Need Your Input

Randomly selected students will be invited to complete the Healthy Minds Survey for UofL's JED Campus program. In September, emails will be sent from a umich.edu address & include an invitation from Interim President Gonzalez. This email is not junk and is not spam. Thank you for participating. www.uoflnews.com/post/uofltoday/uofl-joins-jed-campus-to-support-student-mental-health

If so, make sure you complete the online application, due Monday, September 19, 2022. Applicants will be notified of the training dates for the fall 2022 semester.  www.santafedesignstudio.com/dos/forms/hearingcouncil

Fraudulent employment scheme targeting university students

As part of fraudulent employment schemes,  students are contacted by individuals purporting to be professors/research assistants and offer employment opportunities. The fraudulent employment scheme leaves students who are seeking employment and/or career-enhancing opportunities vulnerable to financial loss. You can avoid becoming a victim by thinking critically and employing savvy job search practices.

In particular, beware of emails/offers of employment that include:

  • High pay with little work
  • Requirements that you cash checks and wire money
  • Poor grammar or punctuation
  • Offers of a job without even interviewing you
  • “Website” is actually an email address
  • The office listed does not exist by that name and/or no employer information is listed
  • No telephone numbers or physical addresses are listed
  • “USA” is included in address which is usually an indication authors are from outside the country and potentially trying to scam you
  • Sounds too good to be true

These are just a few of the "red flags." Here are some resources to help you protect yourself.
