Renter’s Insurance 

For students living on and off campus the purchase of renter’s insurance is recommended.  While residents are not required to purchase this insurance, it is encouraged to purchase this form of insurance due to the many benefits it provides, should the need arise. Check out our “Renter’s Insurance” FAQ page.

Applied Statistics & Data Science minor

A minor in Applied Statistics & Data Science teaches students statistical methods and data science skills that will complement a wide set of majors and further their career opportunities. Students will learn data management, analysis, and reasoning with data.

Research and Mentorship Roundtable 

The Research and Mentorship Roundtable is an opportunity for students to converse with professors of a broad range of majors and learn more about their projects and research, and gain overall guidance. Join the research mentoring program 

The Graduate School is seeking applications from undergraduate students interested in a research mentorship. Selected pairs of graduate and undergraduate students will be awarded $1500 in total and will present their research results at an institutional showcase. Applications are due September 16.

Walking Bridge excursion 

Come out and experience the beautiful Louisville skyline and walk the Walking Bridge. We will be starting on the Louisville side and meeting at 1101 River Rd, Louisville, KY 40202. We will then walk over to the Indiana side, grab FREE icecream, and then walk back. September 13, 6 p.m.

Voices for Reproductive Freedom panel  

Join us and hear from local voices who are fighting for reproductive freedom. This will also serve as an open house for the Reproductive Justice Community Altar. This is in partnership with the Women's Center, Health Promotion, GenAction UofL, and School of Public Health & Information Sciences.  September 14, 5 p.m., Cultural and Equity Center.

Sickle Cell Blood Drive 

UofL will sponsor a blood drive on Sept. 29, 10 a.m.–3 p.m., at the Red Barn. September is Sickle Cell Awareness Month. This blood drive will focus on the need for donors, to obtain the blood products necessary to treat sickle cell disease patients. Donors will receive a $20 Amazon gift card via email.

Parent of the Year nomination 

We are accepting "Parent of the Year 2022" nominations now. This award is open to anyone a current student views as a parent figure in their lives. Team UofL pedaled 813 miles over 58 trips in the first week of Cycle September. CEE student Juan Tabares Tamayo had another strong start, leading the pack with 151mi over 4 trips.
