Drug Free Schools and Communities Amendment Act of 1989 

As a requirement of the Federal Drug Free Schools and Communities Amendment Act, the University of Louisville is responsible for compiling and ensuring the distribution and receipt of the university’s policies, sanctions, and resources regarding alcohol and other drug (AOD) use to all students on a yearly basis. Questions about this policy and/or alcohol and other drug use, programs, or interventions should be directed to the Dean of Students Office at dos@www.santafedesignstudio.com or (502) 852-5787.

PLAN Workshop: Addressing Imposter Syndrome 

Imposter syndrome can cause stress, anxiety, lack of self-confidence, shame, and depression. Human Trafficking Conference: Climate & Migration 

The 13th annual conference organized by the Women's Center and the People Against the Trafficking of Humans (PATH) Coalition of Kentucky will be Feb. 20–22 on Teams. The focus of this year’s conference will be climate change and migration. There will be three virtual sessions. Due to unforeseen circumstances, the session, "Non-Profits Doing the Work" on Feb 22 will no longer be available. We will offer during this time our "Human Trafficking 101 Workshop" for attendees 5–7 p.m.

Graduate Student Inclusive Excellence Award 

The Graduate Student Inclusive Excellence Award recognizes students who use their voices, research and actions toward a more inclusive, equitable and just campus, community, body of research and or field of study. $500 will be given each spring semester. Students may self-nominate by March 15.

Fencing Club in the SRC 

The Fencing Club offers high-level instruction in all disciplines of the sport. Educational sessions are conducted in supervised, structured, and safe conditions. Practices are held on Monday and Wednesday evenings, and Saturday mornings in the SRC.

RESEARCH OPPORTUNITY

Summer Research Opportunity Program

The Summer Research Opportunity Program (SROP) provides University of Louisville undergraduate students with an intensive 10-week, 35 hour per week, research experience with a faculty member in any discipline. The program this year will run from May 30 to August 4, 2023. Students will receive a stipend of $3,500 for the 10 weeks, and faculty mentors will receive $500 to support the student's scholarly activities. Deadline to submit applications is March 13, 2023.
