About Our Tiles
All ceramic tiles
in the Santa Fe Design Studio collection are durable, highly vitrified
stoneware; they are suitable for most applications. The leaves can be
ordered glazed, oxide enhanced or mixed. All tile and trim pieces are
available in any stock color, custom color or natural clay body color.
All decorative tiles can be orderd with field tiles and appropriate trim
profiles. Multi-colored grouting is integral to Santa Fe Design Studio
mosaics. This labor intennsive process adds days - not hours - to the
time it takes to execute the large scale mosaics.
Handmade tiles often show some
warpage, size variation and glaze variation from one firing to another.
It is not the intention of the handmade tile artist to imitate the factory-made
look. Search through your handmade tiles for fingerprints or paw marks
for proof they are really handmade!
All Santa Fe Design Studio commissions are signed by the artist. Custom
commissions are encouraged.
